Alignment Therapy

Available online and in person, each session helps you bring greater awareness to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual patterns shaping your experience of life. Together, we explore what your inner world may be communicating and find practical, integratable ways to carry that awareness into everyday life.

A whole-person approach to self-exploration

We often try to understand ourselves through one part of our experience at a time.

We focus on the physical sensation without exploring the emotion surrounding it. We analyse our thoughts without noticing what is happening in the body. We seek spiritual guidance while overlooking the habits and practical choices shaping our everyday lives.

What is Alignment Therapy?

Alignment Therapy is my distinctive approach to guided self-exploration. It is founded on the understanding that the different aspects of your experience do not exist in isolation. The way you think influences how you feel, and the way you feel influences the way you think. These intimate connections drive how you respond to situations, relationships, decisions and change. During an Alignment Therapy session, we slow this process down and explore these connections with curiosity, guiding you to notice what you may have previously been missing. This may include physical sensations, emotions, beliefs, energetic experiences or recurring themes in your life that are disconnecting from your deeper truth. As these patterns become more conscious, you can begin to relate to them differently, making more intentional choices and genuine, tangible progress towards resolution.

What does being “in alignment” mean?

Alignment is not a permanent state in which everything feels easy or perfectly balanced. Life moves through cycles, and so do we. Our needs change, our bodies adapt, and experiences continually shape how we relate to ourselves and the world around us. To live in alignment is to remain aware enough that you recognise when you are resisting the natural ebb and flow of life—and are able to respond by adjusting your perspective and actions to ride the waves of your great journey with more grace and acceptance, all the while finding fulfilment and purpose as you go. For example: noticing when your actions no longer reflect your values, recognising a harmful pattern you have been holding on to, or trusting that whatever challenges have come into your life are there to help you learn and grow.

Your session may explore:

  • Physical sensations and your connection with your body

  • Thoughts, beliefs and recurring mental patterns

  • Emotions that feel overwhelming, suppressed or difficult to understand

  • Habits and unconscious responses

  • Energy, intuition and spiritual connection

  • Relationships, choices or areas of life that feel out of alignment

  • Practical ways to integrate what you discover

You do not need to arrive knowing which area requires attention. We begin with the themes that feel most prevalent for you and allow the session to unfold from there.

What can an Alignment Therapy session include?

Each session is adapted to meet your needs. The tools we use are chosen intuitively to guide you through your inner work and arrive at a place of understanding.

Guided self-inquiry

Through supportive conversation and carefully considered questions, I help you explore your present experience and recognise connections that may not have been visible before.

This is not about being given a prescribed answer. It is a process of becoming curious about your own patterns and learning to listen more deeply to what your experience may be showing you.

Guided meditation

Meditation can create space between you and the constant movement of everyday thought.

Rather than asking you to empty your mind, I may guide you towards physical sensations, emotions, imagery or a particular area of inquiry. This can help you access information that is more difficult to reach through thought and conversation alone.

No previous meditation experience is required.

Body-awareness practices

The body can offer a tangible place to begin when thoughts or emotions feel confusing.

You may be guided to notice your breath, posture, internal sensations, areas of tension or the way your body responds as we explore different themes. Gentle movement may also be used where it supports awareness and connection. These practices are exploratory rather than diagnostic. A physical sensation does not have one fixed emotional or spiritual meaning; we remain curious about what it represents within your individual experience.

Breathwork and grounding

Simple breathing and grounding practices may be used to help you settle into the session, reconnect with the present moment or create space around an experience. These practices can also become useful tools to draw upon outside of your session.

Energy alignment

For those who feel drawn to the energetic or spiritual aspects of their well-being. Practices may include exploration of the chakras, hands-on energy work or connecting with your guides.

These spiritual frameworks are offered as ways of supporting personal exploration—not as medical facts or replacements for appropriate healthcare.

Integration and practical tools

Awareness becomes most meaningful when it can be carried into your life.

Towards the end of your session, we bring together what we've discovered and consider how you might respond to it. You may leave with a meditation, reflective prompt, body-awareness practice, ritual or simple action to explore.

The purpose is not to give you an overwhelming list of things to do. It is to help you take one or two meaningful steps that feel genuinely intergratable into your day-to-day life.

Who is Alignment Therapy for?

Alignment Therapy may resonate with you if:

  • You feel disconnected from yourself, your body or your inner voice

  • You sense that something in your life is 'off' but cannot yet explain why

  • You notice the same emotional, behavioural or relationship patterns repeating

  • You would like to understand yourself beyond the level of thought alone

  • You are curious about the relationship between your body, emotions, energy and lived experiences

  • You are moving through a period of change, uncertainty or personal growth

  • You want to deepen your intuition or spiritual connection in a grounded way

  • You have found meditation difficult and would benefit from personalised guidance

  • You are seeking meaningful self-exploration rather than a quick fix

  • You want practical tools that can be integrated into everyday life

You do not need to consider yourself spiritual, understand energy work or have experience with meditation. Each session meets you where you are and can be shaped around the language and practices that feel most relevant to you.

Online Alignment Therapy

Alignment Therapy is available online, allowing you to access personalised guidance from wherever you are.

Online sessions may include guided meditation, reflective conversation, body-awareness practices, breathwork, energy exploration and practical integration. Because the essence of the work is awareness and self-exploration, it does not depend on hands-on treatment or being physically present in the same room.

You will simply need a private, comfortable space where you can speak freely and, where possible, sit or lie down for guided practices.

In-person Alignment Therapy in Wattle Grove

In-person sessions are available from my private space in Wattle Grove, in south-west Sydney.

The intention and overall approach are the same as an online session, with the experience adapted naturally to being together in person.

Please note that Alignment Therapy is separate from Remedial Massage. If you are seeking hands-on treatment for muscular tension or physical discomfort, you can learn more on my Remedial Massage page.

My approach

My approach has developed through more than seven years of working with people across remedial massage, corrective exercise, meditation, body awareness and energetic practices.

While Alignment Therapy is separate from massage and physical treatment, my experience working closely with the body continues to shape the way I guide this work. I have seen how much can change when people are given the space to notice their own sensations, recognise connections and participate actively in understanding themselves.

I do not follow a rigid formula or assume that one interpretation will apply to everyone. I bring knowledge, observation, intuition and thoughtful guidance to the session, while recognising that you are the person living within your experience. My role is not to claim authority over your inner world, but to help you develop a clearer relationship with it. This work values curiosity over perfection, presence over pressure and alignment over achievement.

Frequently asked questions

Is Alignment Therapy a form of counselling or psychology?

No. Alignment Therapy is a holistic wellbeing and self-exploration service, not psychological therapy, counselling or mental-health treatment. While thoughts and emotions may naturally arise, I do not diagnose or treat mental-health conditions. If you need psychological or crisis support, I may recommend working with an appropriately qualified professional.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no prescribed number of sessions. Your alignment journey is about exploring different layers and patterns as they emerge. Sometimes this will mean regular visits; sometimes it will require stepping out for a period of time to really integrate what you are learning about yourself. I will not position ongoing sessions as the only way to make progress; an important part of this work is helping you develop practices and awareness that empower you to get back in the driving seat and navigate your life with confidence.
